Non-Repellent Chemicals

Non repellent chemicals are not identified by termites, and so they will not steer clear of the treated areas. As a result of this, white ants pass through the chemical and die because of contact with it. Also, individual termites will pass the chemical onto fellow colony members, resulting in a flow on effect.

Because the termites do not detect non-repellent chemicals, they cannot tell untreated from treated places, and are less likely to gain ingress through gaps.

The most common used non-repellent is Fipronil which has a residual life expectancy of as much as 8 years.
